KUALA LUMPUR: The Pakistan hockey team may be facing a financial crisis, but they are aiming high in the Asian Champions Trophy (ACT) in Hulunbuir, Inner Mongolia, China, from Sept 8-17
The Green Shirts are gunning for their fourth ACT title, after winning it in 2012, 2013 and 2018.
The Pakistan team relied on sponsored air tickets to travel to China for friendly matches in preparation for the ACT.
However, things did not go well for them. After arriving in China, their flight from Beijing to Inner Mongolia was cancelled.
They had to travel 300km by road to reach Hulunbuir.
Earlier, world No. 16 Pakistan drew 4-4 with China in a friendly.
