KUALA LUMPUR: Three-time champions Johor sealed their semi-final spot in the Razak Cup following a 2-0 victory over Pahang in Group A at Taman Daya Stadium in Johor Baru today.
Johor, who won the tournament in 1988, 2006 and 2007, now lead the group with 13 points.
They will face winless Singapore in their final group fixture tomorrow.
Nischal Singh (10th minute) and defender Faiz Helmi Jali (24th) sounded the board in Johor's win over Pahang.
Pahang (with 12 points) and Kuala Lumpur (with 11 points) will face off tomorrow to determine which team join Johor in the semi-finals.
Johor coach Nor Aqmal Abdul Gaffar said: "We will not take Singapore lightly tomorrow as our mission is to win every match in the group."
In the women's competition, Melaka kept their semi-final hopes alive by outplaying Kuala Lumpur 4-0 in a Group B match.
Young Tigresses lead the group with 13 points and have sealed their semi-final spot.
Melaka (with nine points) and Terengganu (with seven points) will face off tomorrow to fight for the other last-four spot.
