KUALA LUMPUR: Divers Nur Dhabitah Sabri and Kimberly Bong gave Malaysia a flying start at the Hanoi Sea Games today with a 1-2 finish in the women's 1m springboard.
Dhabitah was in a class of her own when she chalked up 290.45 points over five dives at the My Dinh Aquatic Centre. Kimberly finished a distant second on 230 while Vietnam's Ngo Phuong Mai claimed the bronze with 224.
It was Dhabitah's fifth gold at the biennial games after she won a gold each at the previous four editions.
Being the national contingent flagbearer, Dhabitah certainly led by example and deservingly earned the honour to be Malaysia's first gold medallist at the Hanoi Games.
