Expect a cracker of a match

Twin terrors Jang Jung Hyun and Lee Nam Young, who have a total of 577 caps between them, will again be South Korea's biggest threat to Malaysia in the Super Four stage of the Asia Cup at the GBK Stadium in Jakarta today.

Malaysia, eyeing the Asia Cup gold, will play the Koreans first in the Super Four (round robin format) after qualifying from the top of Group B.

The match is expected to be a cracker. Earlier in a group match, Malaysia edged South Korea 5-4 in a thriller.

Jung Hyun is backed by 296 caps while skipper Lee Nam Young has played 281 international matches.

And both of them know the Malaysian players like the back of their hands, having played in the Malaysia Hockey League regularly.

"The most dangerous players in Malaysia are Razie (Rahim) and Faizal (Saari).

"When they are in form, the team are difficult to beat," said Jung Hyun yesterday.

"In this tournament, Razie has played good hockey as a defender and flicker.

"He will be very dangerous in the Super Four," added Jang who has scored four goals in the Asia Cup.

Razie is the tournament top scorer with eight goals, six off penalty corners and two from penalty strokes.

Faizal has the best field goals count in Jakarta, with four to his name.
