Footballer and official kicked out of their rented houses

KUALA LUMPUR: A footballer and a team official from an East Coast M-League club have been evicted from their rented houses for failure to pay rent.

That's because their club have not been paying their salaries.

Sources told Timesport that the club have not paid their players and staff for nearly four months.

Nonetheless, the players are still training and playing without pay.

"Everyone is committed to their roles, continuing their daily routines with professionalism, even though they are struggling personally.

"Yet, the harsh reality is that some are facing eviction because they can't keep up with their rental payments," a source told Timesport on condition of anonymity.

"All we are asking for is for the management to fulfil their obligations, and ensure that salaries are paid on time. We all have financial commitments and personal responsibilities, and they are being jeopardised."
