KUALA LUMPUR: Lim Kok Leong and Moh Keen Hoo stayed on course to reclaim the World Amateur Team Snooker title they last won in 2015 after reaching the last eight of the competition today.
Kok Leong-Keen Hoo, representing Malaysia 1, advanced by beating Shabaaz Adil Khan-Vijay Nichani of India 4-1 at the High End Snooker Club in Kuala Lumpur.
They will next meet Russia's Ivan Kakovskii-Andrey Gladyk who eliminated Hong Kong 4-2 in the last-16.
The home fans can also count on Thor Chuan Leong-Reza Hassan, Malaysia 2, to deliver the goods.
Chuan Leong-Reza are also through after scoring a sensational 4-2 win over Iranian favourites Amir Sarkhosh-Siyavosh Mozayani.
Amir and Siyavosh were in fine form last week, having secured a 1-2 finish in the Asia Six-Red Championship.
