KOTA BARU: More than 20 athletes from Kelantan who won medals in the 2022 Malaysia Games (Sukma), will receive cash rewards from the state government.
Kelantan Youth, Sports and Non-Governmental Organisations Committee chairman Wan Roslan Wan Hamat said the cash incentives would be given next month.
He said the state government had promised the cash incentives to those who won gold, silver and bronze medals.
He, however, declined to reveal the amount that these athletes would get.
"I will not reveal the amount as we want to surprise the athletes," he told reporters at the 'Al Aufi' academy here today.
He said more than 300 Kelantan athletes took part in the games from Sept 16 to Sept 24.
Kelantan won three gold, eight silver and 10 bronze medals.
