KUALA LUMPUR: Team Secret, a prominent international team will set pulses racing in the Malaysian Mobile Legends Professional League (MPL) for the first time in the 11th edition, which kicks off on March 10.
Organiser Moontoon's head of marketing and business development, Fikri Rizal Mahrudin, announced the entry of the team into the MPL – the most prestigious e-sports competition in Southeast Asia – after the withdrawal of the Orange E-Sports team about a month ago.
He said the presence of Team Secret is expected to increase the value of the MPL league based on the status of the team which has an excellent record not only at international level but also in the country.
"Orange E-Sports is already out of the MPL, so we have held a series of discussions and agreed to fill that slot with Team Secret. Even with their presence, it will witness welcome competition among the other competing teams," he said at MPL Malaysia's 11th season opening media conference here today.
For the record, Team Secret are one of the teams that has always dominated the online game 'PlayerUnknown's Battleground' (PUBG).
