Vamos vow to rise again in MPLMY

TEAM Vamos have vowed to rise again after being forced to play second fiddle to Selangor Red Giants (SRG) in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Professional League Malaysia (MPLMY).

In Saturday's top-of-the-table clash, Vamos were vanquished 2-0 by SRG at the Subang Jaya City Council Stadium in Serdang Jaya.

Their coach, Khairul Azman "Pabz" Sharif, said they will continue to play as usual with two more league games left before the playoff stage starts.

"We knew that if we were to lose, SRG were the only team that could beat us. We tried our best against them, but we lost discipline and were baited into following their tempo, that is why we were defeated.

"Moving forward, I don't believe we will have any problems to reset and get back to winning ways.

"We know what we are capable of but we have to accept that with this defeat, we are the second best team in the league," he said.

However, Khairul said his team won't accept being second best for long especially with the playoffs looming.

"We will push hard, second best is not good enough for us. We will train harder, review the mistakes and find solutions."

The top six teams in the league will qualify for the playoffs, where the finalists and runners-up will represent Malaysia at the M6 World Championships in November.

Week 4 action started on Friday with Homebois defeating Monster Vicious (MV) 2-0 while JP Niners edged Todak 2-1.

On Saturday, Red Esports defeated Team Haq 2-0 and RSG Malaysia edged MV 2-1. On Sunday, Team Haq lost to Team Rey 2-0, Homebois went down 2-1 to Todak, and SRG beat RSG 2-0.

SRG lead the league with 17 points, with Vamos second with 10. Todak are also on 10 points but Vamos's +4 game win-lose difference put them ahead.
