KUALA LUMPUR: The S. Sivasangari-led Malaysia cruised into the women's team final at the Asian Games after overcoming South Korea 2-0 at the Olympic Sports Centre in Hangzhou today.
National champion Aifa Azman started the ball rolling when she defeated Korea's Eun Hwayeong 11-4, 11-1, 11-8 in the first match of the semi-final tie.
Sivasangari sealed Malaysia's second point following an 11-4, 11-4, 11-5 victory over Lee Jihyun.
Malaysia only took 40 minutes to seal the tie.
The Malaysian girls will face Hong Kong in the battle for the gold medal tomorrow.
The Chan Sin Yuk-led Hong Kong edged India 2-1 in the other semi-final.
