KUALA LUMPUR: Shereen Samson Vallabouy bagged a bronze medal by clocking 52.58s in the Asian Games women's 400m final at the Hangzhou Olympic Stadium today.
Shereen ended Malaysia's 17-year- medal athletics drought in the Asian Games as the nation last won medals, a silver and a bronze in 2006 in Doha.
Bahrain's Oluwakemi Mujidat upset defending champion and compatriot Salwa Eid Naser to win the gold in 50.66. Salwa clocked 50.92 to settle for silver.
