The Malaysians recorded 39.00 points against Vietnam's Nguyen Thi Phuong, Nguyen Ngoc Tram and Luu Thi Thu Uyen who scored 42.70,
Former world champions Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik had to settle for the men's doubles badminton bronze after losing to India's World No.3 Satwiksairaj Rankireddy-Chirag Shetty 21-17, 21-12 in the semi-finals today.
Malaysia are 14th in the medal table with five gold, seven silver and 18 bronze medals.
