KUCHING: Negri Sembilan's shooting queen Gan Chen Jie claimed her seventh gold medal at the Sarawak Malaysia Games (Sukma) today.
Chen Jie, together with partner Amar Syawal Abdul Mutalib, won the mixed 10 metre air rifle gold after beating Pahang's Nabila Aisya Rahman Abdullah-Amar Syawal Abdul Mutalib 16-12 in the decider.
Bronze went to Negri's Tan Yee Xuan-Azman Ridzuan who beat Perlis's Nur Aina Sofea Azi-Ariff Naim Ariff Nazir 16-12.
Chen Jie, a private college student, could take home RM24,000 in incentives.
"I will give the prize money to my family because they probably know better what to buy, such as shooting equipment or other necessities," said the 20-year-old.
