'Prove the naysayers wrong on the main stage'

SERI KEMBANGAN: Starting a new team with players from your old organisation invites criticism, especially from the latter's fan base.

Faris "Soloz" Zakaria and his players faced this situation when he announced the roster for his Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) "Team Vamos" that comprise four players from Homebois plus their coach.

Faris was also a former Homebois player before he became a content creator.

Faris, who faced all types of criticism throughout his career, has some advice for his players.

"I understand from the player's side, they will feel pressure from fans because I have been in their shoes.

"In a sense, you have to build a thick skin because this is the life that we live, fans will always have something to say.

"All I can tell them is to avoid the messages because if they think about the comments, it will have a negative effect on you.

"If you want to prove people wrong, the place for that is on the main stage," Faris said at a press conference at Subang Jaya City Council Stadium in Serdang Jaya today.

In Team Vamos's opening game of the MLBB Professional League Malaysia (MPLMY) Season 14, they downed RED Esports 2-0.
