KUALA LUMPUR: Four Malaysian squash players, currently training in three countries, will end up in Paris tomorrow for a tournament.
National women's No. 1 S. Sivasangari and national men's No. 1 Ng Eain Yow have been based in Prague, Czech Republic, under France's former world champion Gregory Gaultier.
Women's No. 2 Rachel Arnold has been training in Florida, the United States, under Egypt's former world No. 8 Wael El Hindi for the past one month.
Malaysia-based women's No. 3 Aifa Azman will train under former England player, James Willstrop, in Pontefract, the United Kingdom later this month.
Squash Racquets Association of Malaysia (SRAM) coaching director Major (rtd) S. Maniam said: "This is the first time Aifa will be based overseas. She will train under Willstrop for three to four weeks after the Paris tournament from Sept 15-21.
"Rachel has been training in Florida, while Sivasangari and Eain Yow are based in Prague to further improve their game and world rankings," added Maniam.
Meanwhile, Sivasangari, Rachel, Aifa and Eain Yow will feature in the Paris Squash first round tomorrow.
Sivasangari will meet England's Sarah Jane Perry; Aifa is up against England's Georgina Kennedy; Rachel will play Belgium's Nele Gilis, and Eain Yow will face Mexico's Leonel Cardenas.
