KUALA LUMPUR: The Eagle has landed. One of the world's greatest ever MMA fighters has come to town.
Dagestan's Khabib Nurmagomedov came to Kuala Lumpur today, and met his fans at the PWTC.
Nicknamed the Eagle, Nurmagomedov ended his stellar career undefeated with 29 wins.
He won the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Lightweight world title by defeating American Al Iaquinta in 2018.
The 36-year-old defended the belt three times against the great Irishman, Conor McGregor, Americans Dustin Poirier and Justin Gaethje before retiring in 2021.
The Dagestani was inducted into the UFC's Hall of Fame in 2022. He is currently the coach of UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev.
