KUALA LUMPUR: Duncan Lee came back from a set down to upset world No.138 and top seed Tomo Endo of Japan 8-1, 11-7, 11-4, 11-8 to win the New South Wales Open in Sydney yesterday.
In the semi-finals, the Sabahan, ranked 179 in the world, also came back from a set down to beat fourth seed Harley Lam of Hong Kong 9-11, 11-4, 11-4, 12-10.
The 22-year-old said: "I am really happy to have won the tournament with such a great performance. It is also my first 6k PSA title.
"It feels great to win a tournament, and I also won the Satellite Marigold in Singapore earlier this year," said Duncan, who will feature in the 15k Cas International in Islamabad, Pakistan from Nov 18-22.
