SRG storm back after overcoming poor connectivity

PUTRAJAYA: After their loss to Falcon Esports on Saturday, Selangor Red Giants (SRG) left their hotel to return to their "gaming house" in Shah Alam for training before today's do-or-die match against China's KeepBest Gaming (KBG).

It resulted in a resounding 2-0 win for the Mid Season Cup champions in the fourth round of the Swiss stage at the IOI Grand Exhibition and Convention Centre, and keeping alive their hopes in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) M6 World Championship.

Star jungler Haqqullah "Sekys" Ahmad Shahrul Zaman said they left their hotel because of connectivity issues which disrupted their practice.

"The connection was not smooth and it was interrupting our practice, so we chose to head back to our gaming house to train there, and it helped.

"I feel like our performance today against KGB was superb, our discipline was on point and I think it was because of our reset.

Haqqullah, 18, said an emphasis on in-game discipline really helped them understand the issues that they were facing in the previous two defeats against Turkiye's S2G and Falcon.

"The second thing was our hero drafting. We learned from our mistakes to understand our lineup and how it matches up against our opponents."

SRG need another win to reach the fifth round, and Haqqullah hopes to face BloodThirstyKings of the United States in the next match.

"I want to test myself against this lineup. At the World Esports Championships we faced this lineup but they were missing MobaZane. I want to feel how it is, facing MobaZane," said Haqqullah. Michale Cosgun, better known by his in-game name, MobaZane, is BTK's jungler.
