SRG not shying away from Grand Slam ambitions at M6

KUALA LUMPUR: Selangor Red Giants (SRG) are bracing for a thrilling encounter against tournament favourites Fnatic ONIC in the knockout round of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) M6 World Championship in Putrajaya tomorrow.

The Mid Season Cup champions secured their place in the eight-team knockout stage by claiming one of the three qualifying spots in the Swiss Stage.

Their hard-fought 2-1 victory over Cambodia's First Unite Gaming on Thursday confirmed their ticket.

SRG coach Michael Angelo "Arcadia" Bocado said the team are determined to complete their pursuit of the Grand Slam.

Having already won the Mid Season Cup and MLBB Professional League Malaysia (MPL MY) titles this year, the M6 crown is the final piece of their historic ambition.

"This is going to be a thrilling and entertaining encounter, and we'll do our best to match Philippines side Fnatic ONIC," said Bocado.

"It has been a rollercoaster ride for us in M6, but reaching this stage shows how much we've grown as a team. Hopefully, we can complete the Grand Slam.

Meanwhile, another Malaysian contender, Team Vamos, will face Indonesia's RRQ Hoshi, who are returning to the M-Series after missing out on M5 last year.
