5.2-magnitude earthquake strikes Indonesia

KUALA LUMPUR: A moderate earthquake, measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale, hit Rantau Sumba, Indonesia at 11.07am, today.

In a statement, the Malaysian Meteorology Department (MetMalaysia) said the quake occurred about 186 kilometres southeast of Bima, Indonesia, at a depth of 10km.

However, it poses no tsunami threat to Malaysia. - Bernama
