DAP condemns death threat against its veep Teresa Kok

KUALA LUMPUR: The DAP leadership vehemently condemns the death threat made against its vice chairman Teresa Kok.

DAP secretary-general Anthony Loke said all acts of violence are unacceptable especially when dealing with political differences.

Loke also expressed his appreciation to the police for their swift action.

"In representing all levels of DAP leadership, I vehemently condemn the death threat against Kok, who is also Seputeh member of parliament, yesterday.

"Acts of violence are unacceptable in our society, especially when dealing with political differences.

"The entire leadership of DAP stands in solidarity with her facing this threat," Loke said in a statement today.

He also expressed his confidence that police will investigate the case thoroughly and apprehend those responsible for the crime.

Earlier today, city police chief Datuk Rusdi Mohd Isa said the case is being investigated for criminal intimidation by anonymous communication.

Kok had said on Facebook that she found an envelope with two bullets in her mailbox last night.
