It's Putrajaya again for this year's National Day celebrations

PUTRAJAYA: The cabinet has decided that this year's National Day will take place in Putrajaya for the second time under the Madani government.

Unity government spokesman Fahmi Fadzil said Malaysia Day, however, would be celebrated in Sabah.

"The organising committee for the (National Day) celebration will be chaired by myself and Sabah Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister Datuk Christina Liew will chair for Malaysia Day.

"The exact location (for Malaysia Day) will be announced after further discussions.

"Details on the theme and logo will be revealed at a later date," he said in a press conference at the Communications Ministry.

This will be the sixth time the National Day celebration will be hosted in Putrajaya.

Last year, around 100,000 people flocked to Dataran Putrajaya for the celebration.
