Violent incident breaks out after match between KL City and JDT

KUALA LUMPUR: A violent incident allegedly happened outside the KLFA Stadium last night after the Super League match between Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) and KL City FC.

A YouTube video showed a group of people throwing stones, firecrackers, and flares at JDT fans outside the stadium after the Southern Tigers won 5-1.

Fortunately, stadium security officials prevented the situation from escalating.

Similar ugly incidents have happened between KL and JDT fans in the past.

Last season, a bus carrying JDT supporters was reportedly stoned after a Super League match.

Last night, JDT's

Fernando Forestieri and Juan Muniz each scored twice. And substitute Syahmi Safari added a fifth goal.

The City Boys scored their lone goal through a penalty by captain Paulo Josue during injury time in the first half.
