KUALA LUMPUR: Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) recorded their third consecutive win in the Super League by thrashing KL City 5-1 at KLFA Stadium here today.
Fernando Forestieri and Juan Muniz were the toast of JDT with a brace each, while Syahmi Safari completed the rout.
Forestieri scored the first goal in the 42nd minute following a VAR review, while Muniz added JDT's second three minutes later.
KL City narrowed the deficit when Paulo Josue converted a penalty in the ninth minute of stoppage time.
In the second half, Forestieri added his second goal in the 61st minute to make it 3-1.
Muniz netted against in the 71st minute, with Syahmi Safari capping off JDT's night with a goal in the 88th minute.
