Malaysia Airlines flight MH780 to Bangkok returns to KLIA due to cabin pressure issue

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia Airlines has confirmed that one of its flights encountered a technical issue involving cabin pressure.

In a statement, Malaysia Airlines reported that flight MH780, travelling from Kuala Lumpur to Bangkok today, had to return to Kuala Lumpur International Airport due to a pressurisation problem.

"The operating pilots initiated an emergency descent although cabin altitude was not exceeded and passenger oxygen masks were not deployed.

"The aircraft remained stable and returned to KLIA where it safely landed at 8.18pm," it said.

Malaysia Airlines stated that safety remains its highest priority
