#SHOWBIZ: Idris Brown aims for good vibes with new single 'Pening'

'All Together Now Malaysia Season 1' champion Idris Brown is back with another single that pushes boundaries.

In 2022, the 28-year-old talent released 'Dan Berakhirlah' which featured a classical slant that had listeners sit up with excitement.

Taking the risk to present something different again, Idris recently dropped 'Pening' created by Tam Cobain and Glowrush.

"'Pening' is different in its mood and feel, and delivers something happy despite being just the opposite, unlike my previous single that had a sad vibe in the pop-classical genre.

"The recording was a very emotional process for me and I'm grateful to have been able to collaborate with excellent producers who made me feel comfortable," he said in a recent statement.

Idris added that 'Pening' presents a message finding happiness within a community despite the challenges and problems.

"Experiencing happiness in one's daily life within a community is what this song is all about.

"Although we might face problems, we are still able to celebrate everyone without bias and solve whatever those problems are.

"It's about hope, togetherness and being happy for each other.

"So it's relatable for all of us who live in a diverse environment made up of different races, beliefs and age groups," he said.

Idris added that the song paints a bright and happy picture through its positive lyrics and cheery melody.

"Listeners will be able to feel the good vibes. It's relevant since people nowadays are faced with 'pening' (dizzying) situations and problems daily.

"Hopefully, the song will serve as a reminder about empathy, kindness and unity which listeners can ruminate on.

"I just want this song to make people happy and give them hope."

Released by Rocketfuel Entertainment, 'Pening' is now available on all music streaming platforms and YouTube.
