Mah Sing pre-tax profit falls to RM120m in Q1

KUALA LUMPUR: Mah Sing Group Bhd's pre-tax profit for the first quarter ended March 31, 2017 fell to RM120.57 million from RM126.38million recorded in the same period last year.

Revenue, however, rose 20 per cent to RM723.54 million from RM709.17 million previously, the company said in a filing to Bursa Malaysia today.

The results were attributed to the group's development projects such as Southville City in Kuala Lumpur South, Lakeville Residence in Taman Wahyu, D'sara Sentral in Sungai Buloh, M Residence and M Residence 2 in Rawang and Icon City in Petaling Jaya.

"The group achieved property sales of about RM410.3 million in Q1," it added -- BERNAMA
