Petronas Carigali awards 5-year maintenance contract to Deleum

PETALING JAYA: Deleum Bhd's 60 per cent-owned unit Deleum Primera Sdn Bhd has won a maintenance, construction and modification (MCM) services contract from Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd.

In its filing with Bursa Malaysia, the provider of oil and gas (O&G)-related support services and products said it was a five-year contract.

Deleum said the value of the contract depends on the agreed rates and the work orders issued by Petronas Carigali throughout the contract duration.

Last September, Deleum received two letters of contract extension from Petronas Carigali to provide painting and alternative blasting services for the country’s operations.

The one-year extension to the two-year initial duration lasts until November 17 this year.

The Deleum group generates its biggest revenue and profit from its power and machinery segment, whose businesses include selling and maintaining gas turbines and power plants.

For the second quarter ended June 2017, Deleum posted a net profit of RM6.7 million on a revenue of RM106.46 million. Its net profit and revenue for the previous year were RM7.3 million and RM116.24 million respectively.
