Supermax Corp receives product licence for contact lenses in Japan

KUALA LUMPUR: Supermax Corp Bhd through its 70 per cent owned Japan based subsidiary Aime Supermax KK received has been granted the product licence for its contact lenses by the Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Authority (PMDA), Japan.  

In a statement released today, Supermax said the product licence effectively enables the group via SuperVision Optimax Sdn Bhd to export the first Malaysian brand contact lens to Japan, one of the world’s largest market for contact lenses.

The company said grant was a major breakthrough for both SuperVision Optimax and Malaysia, to be the first Malaysian contact lens to export to Japan.

PMDA conducts one of the most stringent clinical evaluations in the world.

Supermax group via its subsidiary SuperVision Optimax Sdn Bhd (98 per cent owned by Supermax International Sdn Bhd has undergone an extensive clinical evaluation process.
