Destini appoints new director for subsidiary company

KUALA LUMPUR: Destini Bhd announced the appointment of Datuk Mohd Zaihan Mohd Zain as director of its wholly-owned subsidiary Destini Prima Sdn Bhd.

Destini Prima is a leading supply, maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) company in Malaysia that is focused on safety and survival related equipment for the defence industry.

Zaihan has almost 40 years of experience, predominantly in the civil engineering and property development sectors.

He was the senior vice president for Ranhill Bhd up until 2005 where he was tasked with seeking and strategising new business opportunities while expanding the earning base of the company.

Prior to that, Zaihan was the managing director of Syarikat Perumahan Negara Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Minister of Finance Incorporated.

The University of Miami, Florida, civil engineer graduate was also the general manager of property division for Island & Peninsular Bhd in 1993 and later was promoted to chief operating officer.

Zaihan started his carrier as a technical assistant for Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) in 1980 and moved up to become a project manager for Techart Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of MARA.
