KUALA LUMPUR: Asset management and infrastructure solutions company, UEM Edgenta Bhd, has appointed Tan Sri Dr Azmil Khalili Khalid as its board chairman, effective May 24, 2019.
In a statement today, UEM Edgenta said Azmil Khalili took over from Amir Hamzah Azizan who retired as chairman at UEM Edgenta’s annual general meeting on May 15.
“Azmil Khalili’s substantial corporate experience in various industries and sectors will provide UEM Edgenta a boost to the company’s next phase of growth.
“On behalf of the company, I would also like to thank Amir Hamzah for his leadership and contributions during his tenure as our chairman and wish him much success in the future,” said managing director/chief executive officer (CEO) Datuk Azmir Merican.
Azmil Khalili was the president and CEO of both The AlloyMtd Group and ANIH Bhd from April 2011-August 2017.
