KUALA LUMPUR: Econpile Holdings Bhd's unit, Econpile (M) Sdn Bhd, has bagged RM104.5 million contract reinforced concrete works from WCT Bhd.
In an exchange filing today, the piling and foundation specialist said the contract is for the retail podium under Parcel 2 of the superstructure works for the Pavilion Damansara Heights mixed development at Jalan Damanlela in Kuala Lumpur.
"The overall duration of the sub-contract is about 17 months and works are expected to commence in June 2020.
"The contract is also expected to contribute positively to the revenue and earnings of Econpile for the financial year ending June 30, 2020."
Econpile Holdings executive director and group chief executive officer Raymond Pang said the pivotal mixed developments were still progressing ahead towards completion even amidst the current challenging landscape.
"Works for our ongoing undertakings in Pavilion Damansara Heights Phase 2 have gradually recommenced in line with the opening up of construction sector during the conditional Movement Control Order.
"Being a natural progression from our current basement works, we anticipate a seamless transition from that to the new reinforced concrete works for the podium block," he said in a separate statement today.
He said Econpile's current orderbook stood at RM780 million, which will last the group over the next two years.
