KUALA LUMPUR: MMAG Holdings Bhd (MMAG) has acquired MAASDOTS Sdn Bhd through a shares sale agreement with BrilliantID Sdn Bhd for RM100,000, comprising of 2,500 shares.
MMAG said the acquisition will bridge the widening gap caused by the pandemic in securing and monitoring the borders between countries.
MAASDOTS is currently involved in the management, integration and implementation of an end-to-end health screening system namely Travellers Advanced Health Screening System (TAHSS).
The system is intended to integrate with health, travel and immigration authorities and is used for the screening of inbound and outbound visitors to the country.
MMAG said TAHSS would be ready to be integrated system in allowing the government to manage and enforce travel procedures to its country either by air, sea or land.
"TAHSS will make international air travel safer, easier and faster. TAHSS carries the tagline 'safe and seamless travel'.
It will get people moving again and revive the travel sector.
"MMAG believes that our investment in MAASDOTS will help us to mobilise the world post Covid-19," said MMAH chairman Datuk Rathakrishnan Vellaisamy in a statement today.
He said TAHSS system will make travelling easier, more convenient and seamless where the traveller only needs to undergo a Covid-19 test at a designated clinic or hospital.
"MAASDOTS is exploring with partners in many countries such as Nepal, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and others to market TAHSS for their countries' needs.
"MAASDOTS is currently also in discussions with the relevant Ministries and Agencies of the government for us to roll out the implementation of the system," he added.
