JOHOR BARU: A 61-year-old woman died after her car crashed into a pillar at a hotel parking lot on Thursday.
Johor Baru Selatan police chief Assistant Commissioner Raub Selamat said preliminary investigations indicated that the woman lost control of the vehicle before crashing into the pillar.
The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act.
It is understood that the victim had a history of diabetes, hypertension, and high cholesterol.
Members of the public who witnessed the accident, which occurred at 8.45pm, are urged to provide a statement to the police at the Johor Baru Selatan Traffic Police station or contact the investigating officer, Inspector Nur Fathihah Ismail, at 010-4171762.
