Invictus Blue appoints Firdaus Jonid as new MD

KUALA LUMPUR: Invictus Blue Sdn Bhd has appointed Firdaus Jonid as its new managing director, replacing David Soo who had left the company.

Firdaus was previously the company's director for strategic resources.

In a statement, the company said Firdaus' appointment signals the company's shift towards younger leaders, in line with its plans to remain a market leader in the robust media, creative and communications spheres against the backdrop of a young population.

Prior to joining Invictus Blue, Firdaus headed the advertising and communications divisions of two major Malaysian multinationals.

The company said having been on both sides of the fence had given him a holistic hands-on experience in the communications ecosystem.

Invictus Blue chief executive officer Gerald Miranda is confident that Firdaus will be able to continue the company's recent growth trajectory.

Miranda added that Invictus Blue's leadership structure is constantly evolving in response to market needs.

"Firdaus represents a new generation of young professionals leading corporations by driving innovation and rewriting the rules of the industry in the process.

"Today's market is looking at able young leaders to help chart future growth. Firdaus is primed to bring us to the next level, seasoned yet young enough not to be weighed down by dated ideas and concepts" said Miranda.
