KUALA LUMPUR: Axiata Group Bhd's fintech arm, Boost, has launched its integration with the world's largest mobile gaming platform, Google Play.
The new seamless and secure in-app transaction, made possible through Boost, will pave the way for users to instantaneously purchase credits both on the Google Play Store and within the respective gaming and streaming apps, even as users run out of credits mid-game and mid-stream.
Boost group chief executive officer Sheyantha Abeykoon said the company is continuously enhancing its offerings and clearing hurdles for users, merchants, and partners to fuel winning ambition and achieve unstoppable growth.
"As entertainment and gaming credit purchases were amongst the top consumer trends on the Boost app, it is a huge opportunity for our partners to propel their growth through our innovative full spectrum fintech solutions to meet increasing consumer demand for more convenient and seamless experiences.
"We are thrilled to partner with the world's largest mobile gaming platform to launch the 'Play To No End' integrated in-app payment feature for Android users to enjoy unstoppable gaming and streaming experiences.
"As Google Play's direct billing partner, Boost will enable users to make seamless and secure transactions across the Google Play Store without having to pause or exit any games or content," he said in a statement today.
As part of the launch, Boost is running a 'Play To No End' promotion from November 1 until January 31, 2023.
During this period, users who pay with Boost on the Google Play Store and any Google Play Store apps can enjoy up to RM10 in savings.
The first RM5 will be given as a Google Play cashback when you make your first payment on Google Play Store, and the second RM5 is in the form of Boost Partner Wallet credit upon making another payment in the following month.
To activate Boost's seamless in-app transactions, users only need to link their Boost account to Google Play and add Boost as their preferred payment method.
