KUALA LUMPUR: Westport Holdings Bhd has been to FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) in place of Inari Amertron Bhd.
This follows the semi-annual review of the local bourse's index series by FTSE Russel and Bursa Malaysia Bhd.
"The FBM KLCI, which is part of the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Index Series, is widely used by investors as the primary benchmark for the Malaysian market including derivatives, through the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI Futures (FKLI) and the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI Options (OKLI)," the two companies said in a joint statement today.
Fraser & Neave Holdings Bhd, Gamuda Bhd, Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd, Time Dotcom Bhd and Top Glove Votp Bhd are top five highest-ranking non-constituents of FBM KLCI by market capitalisation.
They come under the FBM KLCI reserve list, which will be used if one or more constituents are deleted from the benchmark index in accordance with the index ground rules during the period up to the next semi-annual review.
Changes of constituents are also made to the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Mid 70 Index and FTSE Bursa Malaysia Hijrah Shariah Index.
"All constituent changes take effect at the start of business on June 19, 2023. The next review will take place in December 2023," it said.
