MRC names Mohammad Suparadi MD Noor as board of trustees' new chairman

KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Rubber Council (MRC) has appointed Datuk Seri Mohamad Suparadi Md Noor as the new chairman of its board of trustees. 

In a statement today, MRC said Mohamad Suparadi brings with him extensive experience and a track record in strategic, business and financial management, making him the ideal leader to steer the council and the Malaysian rubber industry.

It added that the appointment comes at a critical time, as the global rubber industry faces unprecedented challenges and opportunities during post pandemic.   

MRC noted that his strategic leadership and industry knowledge will play a pivotal role in navigating these complex dynamics, ensuring the continued growth and prosperity of the Malaysian rubber sector. 

Mohamad Suparadi, who holds a bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Malaya, held key executive positions at multiple organisations.  

He was appointed as the chairman of Tekun Nasional in 2018 and served as the executive director at Iris Corporation Bhd from 2004 to 2009 and Yayasan Hijrah Selangor in 2021.  

He has also held several significant roles across various industries over the past two decades. 

Mohamad Suparadi expressed gratitude and commitment to uplift the Malaysian rubber industry. 

"The rubber industry is a vital pillar of our nation's economy, and I am excited to work closely with industry stakeholders, government agencies, and international partners to elevate the Malaysian rubber sector to new heights," he added. 

Mohamad Suparadi is currently helming DSN Group, a conglomerate involved in various industries such as wellness, investment, agriculture, dairy farming, properties, food and beverage as executive chairman.
