Sungai Klang Link elevated highway developer signs MoU with MTD Construction to construct 53-km highway

KUALA LUMPUR: Sungai Klang Link elevated highway developer, Sungai Klang Link Sdn Bhd (SKL), has inked a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with MTD Construction Sdn Bhd (MTDC), to develop and construct the 53 kilometre highway, which is expected to run along the Klang river.

The highway is planned to incorporate seven proposed interchanges, commencing in Klang with an interchange at the West Coast Expressway and concluding at the New Pantai Expressway 2 (NPE 2) interchange.

SKL, a subsidiary of Propadu Holdings Bhd, is the party proposing the elevated highway project to the government and seeking the final approvals for the right to build, own and operate it as a concessionaire.

According to SKL in a statement today, the proposed highway is currently in the final stages of approval by the Government.

"As we continue to push the boundaries in transportation infrastructure, we are thrilled to embark on this transformative journey alongside MTD Construction.

"This partnership marks a significant milestone in our commitment to delivering impactful solutions for the nation's infrastructure needs," said Sungai Klang Link chief executive officer Datuk Mohd Nazri Ismail.
