Datasonic gets Home Ministry supply contract extended for six months 

KUALA LUMPUR: Datasonic Group Bhd has secured contract extensions from the Home Ministry for the supply of Malaysian passport chips, polycarbonate biodata pages and passport documents.

The extensions are for six months from June 1 to Nov 30 this year. 

Datasonic received an extension for the supply of MyKad, MyTentera and MyPOCA raw cards and consumables to the National Registration Department (NRD) for an additional ceiling contract value of RM27.81 million.

It also received contract extensions for the supply of Malaysian passport chips (worth RM59.77 million), Malaysian passport documents (RM29.81 million) and polycarbonate biodata pages (RM52.70 million) to the NRD.

Datasonic also received an extension for the amendments to the contract for the comprehensive maintenance services of card personalisation centres at NRD worth RM11.57 million.

The contracts are expected to contribute towards the future earnings and net assets per share of Datasonic for the financial year ending March 31 2025, it said.
