Gamuda Luge Gardens set to be the epicentre of tourism & entertainment

RAWANG: Gamuda Bhd's chairman, Tan Sri Ambrin Buang, envisions Gamuda Luge Gardens as the future epicentre of tourism and entertainment in northern Klang Valley.

Spanning 20 hectares within Gamuda Gardens townships, this mixed-use development boasts a diverse range of family-friendly attractions, including the renowned Skyline Luge Kuala Lumpur, FunPark, and the waterplay attraction, Big Bucket Splash.

"With an investment of approximately RM100 million, Gamuda Luge Gardens is poised to become a thriving centre for commerce and leisure where families and friends can gather for joy and excitement.

"We are confident for it to also be the next tourism and entertainment hub in northern Klang Valley, and one of the favourite tourist destinations for domestic and international visitors.

"With the support of the state government and everyone, we anticipate this development to further boost business and leisure, while also supporting Visit Selangor Year 2025, which aims to welcome seven million tourists," Gamuda chairman Tan Sri Ambrin Buang said at the launch of Gamuda Luge Gardens here on Saturday.

The launch event, officiated by Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari, celebrated Gamuda Luge Gardens' success in attracting over 420,000 visitors, including overseas guests, since its public opening last December.

"By integrating entertainment, commerce, and residential spaces, we not only revitalise the region but also set a new standard for what integrated living and leisure can look like.

"We are excited to see the masterplan unfold, transforming Gamuda Gardens into a catalyst for growth for the northern Klang Valley corridor," Ambrin said.

The event also unveiled two brand-new FunPark attractions: the exhilarating Vroomerang ride, which has a 10-meter-high track, and the Eye of Gardens ferris wheel, which is 50 metres tall and the largest in a theme park according to the Malaysia Book of Records.

Furthermore, Hyfly, Malaysia's first dualling zipline, will launch by the end of 2024 at Skyline Luge Kuala Lumpur, adding to the wide range of attractions at Gamuda Luge Gardens.

Moving forward, Gamuda intends to gradually introduce The Atrium, a mixed-use project next to FunPark and Skyline Luge.

This development will house a diverse range of tenants, such as retail stores, entertainment venues, and food and beverage establishments in order to serve the active community at Gamuda Gardens and its environs.

Ambrin underlined that Gamuda Luge Gardens, with its emphasis on high-quality public areas that enhance the township's residential and lifestyle offers, represents a paradigm shift in urban design.

This strategy has increased economic activity in the area, fostering the development of a vibrant commercial environment and opening up fresh avenues for expansion and investment in the northern corridor.
