UMW Toyota sells 10pct less vehicles in June

KUALA LUMPUR: UMW Toyota Motor Sdn Bhd sold a total of 7,600 vehicles in June, 10 per cent lower than the 8,422 units recorded in May.

UMW Toyota said the year-to-date sales as of June 2024 stood at 47,000 units.

"This reflects the company's initiatives and successful customer-centric promotions, highlighting its ongoing dedication to delivering innovative mobility solutions," it said in a statement.

UMW Toyota president Datuk Ravindran K said the company was grateful for the trust its customers had given, which was reflected in its sales this month.

"This trust strengthens our commitment to society and aligns with our vision to Move Your World," said Ravindran.

As part of its commitment to enhancing the buying experience, UMW Toyota introduced the "Peace of Mind with Every Drive" promotion for July 2024, offering customers up to 100 per cent financing for selected models.

The company also demonstrated its community commitment by presenting the Toyota Showroom Weekender nationwide from July 13 to 14.

The event featured four popular Toyota models including the Yaris, Vios, Corolla Cross and Hilux, and provided an opportunity for community involvement and engagement.

UMW Toyota said it will continue to host Toyota Showroom Weekenders every month.

This will include test drives, exclusive sales offers, and showcasing the latest models.

"We are excited to continue hosting events like the Toyota Showroom Weekender, which allow us to engage with our customers and communities directly, emphasising Toyota's 'Customer First' ideology.

"These interactions are vital in fulfilling our commitment to exceptional service and our vision to Move Your World," Ravindran added.
