KUALA LUMPUR: Sarawak Cable Bhd (SCB) which is currently under the care of a court-appointed interim judicial manager, announced today that its chief financial officer Teoh Wen Jinq has resigned.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia Securities, the company said she resigned for personal reasons.
SCB said Teoh's resignation did not arise from any disagreements with the board of directors, nor are there any issues requiring shareholder attention at this time.
Teoh joined SCB in 2008 as the group financial controller and company secretary, and was promoted to the position of group chief financial officer in March 2017.
On July 9, 2024, SCB was placed under judicial management following a claim by Messrs Krish Maniam & Co of an alleged amount due of RM345,908.00 for legal services rendered.
The appointment of the interim judicial manager was pursuant to an ex parte application by Krish Maniam & Co.
The appointment means that the powers of the directors and officers of the company have ceased.
The directors and officers are still required to comply with all statutory requirements including the filing of statutory returns and all other necessary statutory compliance requirements.
The hearing date for the application of SCB to be placed under judicial management is Aug 9, 2024.
