KUALA LUMPUR: Nestle Malaysia Bhd has brought back the nation's largest futsal tournament, MILO Hidup Bola, for its 18th edition.

The event has attracted a record-breaking 12,000 participants, the highest number in its history.

Nestle Malaysia sports marketing manager of MILO Kerwin Lim said in a statement that the response from Malaysians to Hidup Bola and the campaign for a healthier nation has been encouraging.

"Tournaments like these exemplify MILO's commitment to shaping the next generation of young futsal talents while also instilling essential values and lessons.

Neslte Malaysia said that the tournament is designed to be inclusive, allowing teams from all over Malaysia to take part regardless of their location.

Players from the under-12 and under-16 age groups are able to compete across various states for the championship.

Matches have already been held in Selangor, Sabah, Pahang, Sarawak, Penang, Johor, and Negri Sembilan as the tournament progresses to its halfway point.
