KUALA LUMPUR: Sasbadi Holdings Bhd's subsidiary Sasbadi Sdn Bhd (SSB) has secured two contracts from the Ministry of Education (MoE) totalling RM11.7 million to supply reprinted textbooks.
In a filing to Bursa Malaysia, the company said it had accepted a letter of acceptance worth RM6.89 million from the MoE to supply reprinted textbooks to schools under the ministry from Year 2024 – Package 15.
Sasbadi also announced that its another subsidiary The Malaya Press Sdn Bhd (TMP), had accepted a letter of acceptance worth RM4.82 million from the MoE to supply reprinted textbooks to schools under the ministry from Year 2024 – Package 18.
The company noted that the contracts are for the period from Aug 5, 2024 to Aug 4, 2026.
"SSB and TMP are expected to deliver the first tranche of the contracts, worth approximately RM5.85 million in total to the schools throughout Malaysia, in the first quarter of the financial year ending Aug 31, 2025.
"In this regard, these contracts are expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets of the Sasbadi Holdings Group," it said.
Sasbadi does not foresee any exceptional risk other than the normal operational risks associated with these contracts.
