The key index closed 0.66 per cent higher at 1,606 points mainly due to buying interests in Maxis, CelcomDigi and Mr DIY.
The 30-stock index is expected to trend within 1,590 and 1,620 this week.
The ringgit was lower against the greenback today at 4.450
In the crypto market, Bitcoin dropped to RM262, 830 after institutional investors halted accumulation of stablecoins.
Ethereum was down to RM11,567 and Solana traded at RM653.
