Solarvest forms JV with Agmo Capital to develop digital clean energy solutions

KUALA LUMPUR: Solarvest Holdings Bhd through its subsidiary, Solarvest Energy Sdn Bhd, has formed a joint venture with Agmo Holdings Bhd's subsidiary, Agmo Capital Sdn Bhd to develop digital clean energy solutions.

Solarvest executive director and group chief executive officer (CEO) Davis Chong Chun Shiong said the collaboration marks a significant leap forward in its mission to drive innovation and sustainability in the clean energy sector. Chong said the digital app the company is developing will revolutionise how it manages and scale clean energy solutions, offering a seamless, integrated experience for users.

"This partnership highlights our commitment to advancing renewable energy and showcases our proactive approach to meeting the industry's evolving needs. "Together, we are leading a digital transformation that will enhance the scalabilityand the global impact of sustainable energy solutions," he said.

Meanwhile, Agmo non-independent executive director and CEO Tan Aik Keong said this innovative initiative in the clean energy sector demonstrates the company's commitment to leading industry innovation.

"By combining Solarvest's extensive expertise in clean energy with our advanced digital solutions, this application is poised to be a game-changer, offering a comprehensive platform that makes clean energy more accessible and manageable for both businesses and consumers, effectively supporting Malaysia's sustainability goals," said Tan.

Witnessed by Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof, during the 6th International Sustainable Energy Summit (ISES) 2024, this partnership is expected to undertake a major digital transformation in Malaysia's clean energy sector by providing comprehensive digital solutions that benefit both consumers and providers of clean energy.

The joint venture will leverage Solarvest's strong project track record with Agmo's technological expertise, this joint venture will develop digital solutions to streamline and automate the clean energy project lifecycle.

According to Solarvest, the development will unfold in several stages, starting off with the enhancement to Solarvest's current offerings, including Vestech EcoHomes solutions, Powerbee green Electric Vehicle (EV) charging ecosystem, and Renewable Energy Certification management.

By transforming these solutions into digital applications, Solarvest aims to optimise its clean energy offerings and project management processes to meet the heightened demand for clean energy. "Solarvest will pilot these innovative solutions to ensure their effectiveness before a broader market launch. "Upon the successful rollout, these applications will benefit the wider community by enhancing the visibility of clean energy products and project development," it added.
