Malaysia Airlines to fly to Paris in March 2025

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia Airlines Bhd will resume direct flights to Paris in March next year after axing all European routes except London from its network nearly a decade ago.

This confirmed Business Times report on Sept 4 that the national carries is likely to  introduce three destinations including Paris.

The direct flight from Malaysia will start on March 22, 2025, and will utilise Airbus A350 planes that fly the carrier's passengers along key routes such as London and Narita.

Malaysia Aviation Group group managing director Datuk Captain Izham Ismail said the company sees immense potential for the Paris destination.

He said the route represents Malaysia Airlines' 68th destination.

The airline company had suspended flights to Europe in 2016, particularly Paris and Amsterdam, as the carrier phased out its B777 fleet.

Previously, Frankfurt and Istanbul were also axed from the carrier's network in 2015 as part of its network restructuring plan.

Before its 2016 restructuring plan, Malaysia Airlines had flown to France (Paris), Germany (Frankfurt, Munich), Italy (Rome), Spain (Madrid), and Switzerland (Zurich).
