PETALING JAYA: OSK Property Holdings Bhd's Atria Shopping Gallery, a key commercial hub in Damansara Jaya, is set to launch a theme park aimed at enhancing visitor experiences with a variety of attractions for all ages.
The park will focus on providing families and children with a comprehensive destination for fun, learning and engaging activities.
OSK Property group retail leasing general manager Samantha Lew said the theme park is a collaboration with PeopleUp, a leading multi-enrichment and play group founded in 2018 in Singapore.
This also marks PeopleUp's first expansion outside Singapore.
"The PeopleUp theme park is expected to begin operations in the first half of 2025 (1H25). We believe that the opening of this theme park will lead to a surge in visitors.
"Currently, the average monthly visitation is around 600,000, and with the presence of this theme park, it will attract visitors not only from the local area but also from the entire Klang Valley," she said at the signing ceremony here yesterday.
OSK Property believes that PeopleUp will play an important role as a key catalyst in the transformation journey of Atria Shopping Gallery.
With over 16 subsidiary brands in Singapore, Lew said PeopleUp has showcased its reputation for delivering innovative, engaging and effective family experiences.
Its main brands, such as Bouncy Paradise, the largest inflatable playground in Asia, and Dinoland, the first and largest indoor dinosaur park in Singapore featuring a living forest, along with VroomTown, the first mega driving play city for children, have recorded more than half a million visitors annually.
"Therefore, we are confident that the new expansion at Atria Shopping Gallery will be developed based on the success in Singapore, showcasing a family-oriented and exciting concept while introducing new experiences tailored to the Malaysian market," she noted.
PeopleUp Singapore chief executive officer Chris Tan Wei Quan said it is thrilled to bring its holistic approach of family entertainment to Malaysia.
Anchoring over 60,000 square feet within Atria Shopping Gallery, PeopleUp will introduce a theme park designed to provide a broad spectrum of fun, entertainment, and educational experiences.
It will encompass six key areas designed to cater to every type of play, including kids and toddler play, e-gaming and immersive play, sky play, water park, and special experiences, offering unique, curated attractions that are sure to surprise and delight visitors.
PeopleUp will also introduce its popular Singapore-based attractions to Atria Shopping Gallery, tailoring them to fit the tastes and preferences of the local market.
These zones will provide a complete range of physical, mental and sensory experiences for children of all ages, establishing a new standard for family entertainment in Malaysia.
