DBKL seeks feedback on theme park proposal at old RMAF base

KUALA LUMPUR: Landowners around the former Royal Malaysian Air Force base in Sungai Besi have been asked to submit their views on an application to build a temporary theme park on the site.

The theme park is part of a mixed-development proposal submitted by Sim Leisure Escape Sdn Bhd.

According to a Rule 7 notice published by DBKL today, the mixed development will be developed in two phases on Lots 6178, 20023, 20024, 51974 and 256, all of which are part of the old Air Force base.

The first phase would include the construction of adventure rides, water play areas, gravity rides, and a Ferris wheel.

It will also include public facilities, a water reservoir with a recreational area, an event space and accommodations for workers, among others.

The second phase would include 11 two-storey bungalows, 113 single-storey terrace houses, 111 six-block apartments and four tree houses.

Landowners who want to submit their feedback on the proposed project must do so in writing within two weeks from today.

The feedback should be addressed to DBKL's Town Planning director at Level 9, Menara DBKL 1, Jalan Raja Laut, 50350, Kuala Lumpur or via email at jprb@dbkl.gov.my.

Each submission must include the owner's name, lot number, postal address, and DBKL reference number.
